The Women’s Fellowship is sponsoring a trip to the Wings of Song concert on Sunday, May 21 to be held at Shepherd Hill High School in Charlton, MA. Wings of Song (formerly Quinebaug Valley Singers) will be performing a musical tribute to our “Blue Boat Home” – Earth. Selections include songs from John Lennon, Neil Young, Johann Sebastian Bach, Marvin Gaye, Elton John, Pete Seeger, Jean Ritchie and Leonard Bernstein. This is Wings of Song most challenging undertaking as a 50+ community chorus celebrating the Earth and calling for action on Climate Change. The concert includes songs, texts and images creating a full sensory experience. Carpooling will be available by meeting in the church parking lot at 1:40 with departure at 1:45. Approximate travel time is 45 minutes. Refreshments are served after the performance.
