Second Congregational Church is blessed with committed employees. Maybe they are too committed and have allowed their worship time to be compromised by work matters. Most of our paid employees are also church members which often places them at church where they are accessible for work related issues. However, it is their day of rest and their time to attend church without having to perform work related duties. Therefore, we are asking people to refrain from approaching them in church to discuss church business. They are more than willing to help you during their scheduled work hours which for our office staff are Monday through Thursday 9:00 to 2:00. You can also leave a handwritten message in the blue basket to the right of the doors out to our parking lot, by email at [email protected] or by phone at 413-283-6958.
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.“ Exodus 20:8-11
