Women’s Fellowship is sponsoring a trip to Saint Andrews Episcopal Church located at 355 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow on Saturday, March 11th for their hour-long Celtic service beginning at 5:00 p.m. The service features prayers and music from the British Isles. Each song reflects a Celtic spirit and many times will incorporate images from the natural world. The service is in English with a sprinkle of Gaelic phrases and chants from time to time. The service is illuminated by candlelight. Holy Communion is celebrated and all are welcome to receive the gifts from God’s table. You may hear bagpipers, harpists, flutists, guitarists and or violinists. You can view a short video on their website at st-andrews-longmeadow.org. This is a well attended service. For those who would like to carpool, please meet in the church parking lot at 3:45 p.m. We will leave by 4:00 p.m. on the dot. All others are welcome to meet us there at their convenience. For those who might want to dine after, here are four reputable restaurants within a few short miles. In Longmeadow there is the Meeting House, Grapevine Pizzaria and Restaurant, and Max Burger. In East Longmeadow there is Center Square Grill. Their menus can be found at their websites.
