SERVICE OF SONG

Our Sunday service for February 26th will be a Service of Song to continue celebrating our 175th anniversary.  The praise group, The Good Good News, will be joining us for the entire service and performing as the sermon for that Sunday. “The Good Good News” is a 5-person local Christian praise group. They are a group of well-rounded, experienced musicians who have been sharing ‘the good news’ in song since 2021. They combine traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs to provide a fresh approach to the music ministry.  Their members include Jo-Anne Dominik – vocals, guitar and percussion, Nelson Carpentier – vocals, Dodie Carpentier – vocals, guitar and percussion, Roberta Leecock – vocals, guitar, keyboard, flute and percussion, Barbara Bren – vocals.

The entire service will be songs of praise to God for His guiding hand upon Second Congregational Church for 175th years.  Our chancel choir with an appearance by Scott Knolton on the harmonica and the handbell choir will also be performing.  Hymns will be led by the Good Good News joined by the congregation.

This is a service not to miss and one that we hope will fill the pews with our church family and friends along with residents from the community, guests are encouraged and welcome to attend.  Women’s Fellowship will be providing the beverages and treats during Fellowship Hour immediately following the Service of Song.
