Our church profile was posted on the UCC website in August. Since then we have received resumes from two candidates interested in the position. We are part of the Southern New England Conference (MA, CT, RI) and there are currently 11 churches searching for an interim minister and 54 churches searching for a settled pastor. Our two candidates have several offers to choose from and we don’t know if we will be chosen. The area minister has warned us that there is a shortage of ministers so we may have to consider other options. At this time we are still hoping to find a full-time interim minister. We will keep everyone informed as things progress.
