One of the scouting programs our church supports, The Narwhals Troop #5164, is sponsoring a pet food, toy, bedding and supply drive Saturday, March 28 from 12-2 at their scoutmasters’ house located at 1114 Thorndike St., Palmer. Currently, there is a dog crate and sign on the front lawn promoting this event. The donations will be distributed to local animal shelters such as Brimfield’s Here Today Adopted Tomorrow Animal Sanctuary. The scouts are learning how to foster cats as well as the process of catch and release. The sanctuary can use both wet and dry dog and cat food, toys, litter and bedding.
